AUTOMATIC VERSUS MANUAL LUBRICATION SYSTEM
All Breton machines come equipped with one of the following types of lubrication systems:
• Automatic Lubrication System (ALS):
Often referred to as a centralized lubrication system, this system automatically delivers controlled amounts of lubricant to multiple locations on a machine while it is in operation.
• Manual Lubrication System:
This system consists of designated areas on the machine where the machine’s operator(s) must manually lubricate components by using proper tools in specified locations.
Both systems are designed to protect components, such as bearings, linear guides, sliding parts, etc., where they come into contact with each other and are critical to the lifetime durability and reliability of your Breton equipment.
RECOMMENDED LUBRICANTS
Breton strongly recommends using MOBILUX EP004 (from Mobil) for lubrication of ALL Automatic and Manual Lubrication Systems found on our equipment. Mobilux EP004 is a low viscosity grease that has been proven not to clog the lines on your Breton equipment.
In the event that MOBILUX EP004 is not available in your area, Breton recommends the use of one of the following alternative lubricants for your Breton machinery:
• RETINAX CS00 (from Shell)
• MOLUB ALLOY MPG00 (from Castrol)
• MARSON EPL00 (from Fina)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING THE GREASE TANK ON MANUAL LUBRICATION SYSTEM
If your Breton machine has a Manual Lubrication System, then please follow these instructions:
1. Locate fittings on the machine marked with a grease sign.
2. Using a manual or a pneumatic grease pump, apply MOBILUX EP004.
3. Repeat as indicated in your machine’s Owner’s Manual.
