High precision 5-axis vertical machining center with 2,000 x 2,500 x 800 mm working area. Particularly suitable for hi feed roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations on medium-sized steel, light alloys, and composites. 

It has been designed, developed, and optimized through the most advanced digital twin simulation technologies that besides guaranteeing excellent working performance allow the technology to speed up all simulation and machine configuration phases.

The high degree of stiffness guaranteed by the monobloc structure is combined with technological solutions like the High Dynamic technology which can maintain high dynamics and reduce friction factors to obtain higher acceleration and speed.  



This version of the Matrix E1 started from a virtual environment in which all the features of the machine and all its components such as the motors, screws, bearings, etc were included.

This obtained an extremely realistic simulation of all the machine's behavior, then it was virtually tested with all the various scenarios that it could possibly be used in.  After all the testing the machine was produced.

The thermo-symmetrical structure and the Thermal Shield technology ensure total control of the thermal expansions. The direct motors used for the axis movements remove the backlash and the vibrations, the A and C axes are motorized by Direct Drive motors.  All these features make it possible to halve the commissioning times and reduce customer operating costs.


A rigid monoblock structure in an electro welded streel, designed to guarantee stiffness and to dampen any vibrations during the most demanding operations. Since the columns and table are made of a single structure, re-machining or readjustments at the installation site are no longer necessary.
The structure incorporates a complete series of chip conveyors which can be replaced by a convenient dust extraction system when working on composites.

Both the bridge and RAM are amongst the sturdiest in their category, ensuring greater stability in roughing operations while maintaining high dynamics and accuracy in finishing operations.
Best optimization of the ration between the machine size and axis strokes, i.e. the footprint efficiency ratio. The transversal arrangement of the layout, transversal stroke 2,500 mm and longitudinal stroke 2,000 mm, allows the bottom of the machine to go against the wall. This improves machine visibility to the operator and lets the machine be delivered to the customer already assembled.  

The thermo-symmetrical structure along with the Thermal Shield technology considerably improves the control of the thermal expansions and reduces deformations in the structure without having to use expensive cooling systems. The use of direct motors for the movement eliminates the backlash and the vibrations caused by the belts. The Direct-Drive motors for the A and C axes guarantee the necessary power when required.

The head is equipped with large bearings to ensure the utmost vibration dampening and the best positioning precision provided by the high-resolution integrated encoders, additionally, the torque motors and electro-spindle are coolant refrigerated.

This machining center guarantees enough thrusts and rigidity to perform high feed roughing, and top of the range semi-finishing and finishing operations.  At the same time, it offers the ideal dynamics, speeds, and accelerations for those looking for the highest production performances even on the most demanding parts made of aluminum or composites.

Matrix E1 can fully satisfy the needs of the aerospace sector, mold makers, and composite workers. For each of them, there is an ad hoc accessory package that allows the configuration of the machine to ensure the highest level of performance and services based on the parts and materials to be processed.

The installation time and costs have been halved. The monobloc structure makes it possible to bring the machine to the customer practically assembled, greatly simplifying installation time on site. The structural rigidity just required simple flat foundations, minimizing the use of anti-shrinkage cement and chemicals for ground anchoring.

The reduction of operating costs represents an added value. The kinematics and mechanisms lubrication have been completely redesigned replacing the traditional system with an advanced system for lubricant control and distribution. The most common drawbacks such as dirt, stains on the parts, dangerous vapors and the high maintenance and operating costs are eliminated.

Any variations in temperature are stabilized due to the thermo-symmetrical structures and the patented Thermal Shield. The work area is covered with modular stainless-steel panels which combined with the chip discharging system makes it possible to keep the work area uncluttered and safe for operators as well as extending the life of the machine.
